God went back and got the shaking little girl that was hiding under the bed and convinced her to come out. He unclenched her little fists and took her hand and placed it in His and answered her question. He held her and told her that it was OK for her not to be tough. He would protect her. She didn’t have to be strong. He told her hat she wasn’t a rock but a child. An innocent child. His child. He didn’t condemn her for anything but instead understood her and loved her! He told her that she was special… like no other and that she had special gifts like no other. She knew his voice and trusted him. She could hear the pleasures He had for her and felt His delight in her as He talked. He was so gentle and loving she couldn’t help but melt in His arms – Captivating, John and Stasi Eldredge.

God loves you.

God romances you.

Yes, that’s the word, romance. Imagine this scene from the soap opera : A guy likes a girl, he does everything to impress her so that her heart will be his. Picture the flowers, the love poems, the love letters… How romantic. And God does the exact same thing. God wants our heart. God loved us, He first loved us and He wants our heart. He created the stars, painted the nature with the most beautiful colours possible, he created sunrises and sunsets, he created the snow flakes and everything that is good on this earth to win our hearts. Yes, God did not do this because of Himself, He did it because He wanted to outcompete the other idols around you, He wants us to pick Him.

And yes, the love of the Lord. He even gave us free will, which is the most dangerous of all. A free will would also mean that we can fall into the evils but yet God loved us this much that He is even willing to take this risk. For us. So that we can choose Him.

Who is the one we turn to when we are the most desperate, who is the one we turn to when we are the most upset and we feel that no one cares? Him. He is the gurdain angel, silently watching us from our backs, offering His help when we need it, and retreats when we are preoccupied with other things. He does not anger. He just waits. Waiting patiently for a day that we would turn around and return His love. Just a tiny bit and He would be overjoyed.

Isn’t he like the silent lover that we see in soap operas? And everytime we reach this part of the story, the audience would start commenting how stupid the girl was, chasing after the rich guy/good-looking but heartless guy instead of noticing the one who had been there all along, whose heart is solely devoted to her. But wait a minute.

Aren’t we doing the same?

We pursue things like results, like acceptance, popularity, things that are “rich and good looking but heartless” We take the one who has always been behind us for granted, and ignore the devoted heart because it does not give us external glory that we want. We rather suffer heart breaks after heart breaks to get some short term glory than to have a heart forever protected and loved with a glory that lasts forever.

Are we stupid or something?

These are the days.

I thought keeping myself busy would be a good thing, don’t they always says an empty mind breeds the devil And today is judgement day. I stare and look at myself.

I feel so so empty.

As though there is no base to everything I do, as though I have no purpose.

I can lie to the world, but I can’t lie to myself. Something is missing, and I don’t’ know what. Could it be a growing up process? A sudden need of security or perhaps a maturity of the mind?

I don’t know, but I sure do not like it.

To my dear frens,
Don't worry about me. I am pretty fine in general and shall do some soul searching. Will continue to pray for you people and ya.. :)
